Copyright Policy and Rights Notices
Incorrect Quotes Gen is an unofficial creativity website. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the owners of any fandom, character, series, book, film, television program, game, or other property.
Does the generator use canon quote databases?
No. The current generators use original, generic templates. They do not search for or reproduce a collection of canon quotations.
A user may enter a familiar character name. That action does not make the generated dialogue official, accurate, or approved by a rights owner.
Who is responsible for names and edited outputs?
Users choose the names they enter. Users also decide how they edit, describe, publish, or commercialize an output.
Do not describe generated text as a real quotation or canon line. Add clear context when a post uses third-party character names or fandom references.
What is copyright?
Copyright protects original works of authorship under applicable law. The U.S. Copyright Office provides a plain-language overview on its What Is Copyright? page.
Rights, exceptions, licenses, and limitations can vary by work, use, and jurisdiction. This page provides site information, not legal advice.
Does fair use automatically cover fan content?
No automatic rule covers every fan post. Fair use is a case-specific legal doctrine. The purpose, nature, amount, and market effect are among the factors considered in the United States.
The U.S. Copyright Office Fair Use Index gives general information and examples. It does not provide a ruling for a specific generated quote or headcanon.
